    Within “Shrines For The Unwanted, Respite For The Cast Aside”, bone, antler and voice produce connective threads between the worlds, as guitar and percussion punctuate shifts in mood. Voices call to the spirits, and the spirits call back in return. Recorded in 2016 during four private, collective only rituals, the pieces pull the listener through the darkest and most overgrown trails of the blackest forest. Monumental and horizonless ritualistic black ambience. Vocal visitations by A.C. Way of Sutekh Hexen.

    The simurgh is depicted in Iranian art as a winged creature in the shape of a bird, gigantic enough to carry off an elephant or a whale. It appears as a peacock with the head of a dog and the claws of a lion, sometimes however, also with a human face. Iranian legends consider the bird so old that it had seen the destruction of the world three times over. The simurgh learned so much by living so long that it is thought to possess the knowledge of all the ages. We hope this mythological benevolent creature could be a hope and a a guide in our dark times

    Erik Jarl is active as Jarl since autumn 1999 and member of postindustrial act IRM. He has released CDs on several different record labels through the years and describe his music as turbulent, withdrawn electronics. A mixture of ambient, industrial and drone.This new double CD consists of three long tracks, the longest Jarl has done so far.
    Artwork and photography is done by the outstanding artist Karolina Urbaniak.
    This recording is based upon Dyatlov Pass Incident which took place in northern Ural Mountains in Russia during winter 1959. It resulted in the deaths of nine ski-hikers and until today, although some sources claim they have the solution, the cause of the events remains an unsolved mystery.

    Uhushuhu, Ogni Videniy and Lunar Abyss – these three projects from St. Petersburg are long active in the boundless creative field of noise ambient and drone psychedelia.     Sky Burial was formed in 2006 as a conduit for the sonic meanderings of Michael Page. Having established himself in the power electronics/noise genre with his project Fire In The Head, Michael felt compelled to move in a direction more akin to music he was passionate about while seeking more freedom of expression and room for experimentation and complexity of composition.

    As a means of giving music an expression unbound to narrowly defined genres, Michael Page created Sky Burial in 2006. Mainly dealing with noisy power electronics with project Fire in the Head, Sky Burial entered the realms of dark ambient and sonic experimentalism. Since it’s start this outfit has released several albums and we’re proud to have the opportunity to release it’s new opus “Corranach”. The three mesmerizing tracks which comprise “Corranach” play a dichotomous dirge both grounded and ethereal. Sky Burial takes us unto a journey through internal structures and outer spaces, immersed in the Kosmische ethos. With “Corranach” Michael presents his most focused and refined work so far with a unique blend of industrial and ambient elements.
