Trajedesaliva – Ultratumba Label: áMARXE – áMARXE0221, Ferror Records – FR-034, Gradual Hate Records – GH 147 CD Format: CD, Album Country: Spain Released: Feb 5, 2021 Style: Dark Ambient, Industrial, Spoken Word, Experimental, Ambient
La más depurada manifestación, por medio de la palabra (y de la música), de los sentimientos, emociones y reflexiones que puede expresar el ser humano en torno a la belleza, el amor, la vida o la muerte
«Ultratumba» (áMarxe, Ferror Records, GH Records, 2021), our fifth work, is a family dialogue, full of sadness, acceptance and hope, that digs into the origin of melancholy. Recorded using only analogue synthesizers and voice – no sequencers or programming. It’s a piece of pure handcrafted electronica drawing on dark landscapes with the different layers of sound constantly fighting among themselves to stay centrestage. It evokes the sounds of drone and industrial music, but from a very personal perspective, displaying a musicality that transcends both genres.
Templum N.R. – T.o.V. Improvisations XCII-XCIII Label: Aural Hypnox – AHUE06 Series: Underworld Editions Format: CD, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue Country: Finland Released: 25 May 2018 Style: Dark Ambient, Drone, Electro, Minimal
The musical improvisations of T.o.V. derive from Umbra-visitation sessions held in the Temple of Mercurial Orgies and Room Luna Lake between 2014 and 2015. The concept of the album has been evolving within the minds of the Templum N.R. members for the past twenty years, so perhaps it is not proper to talk of this as their latest release. Linear time and Templum N.R. do not walk hand in hand and their rituals cannot be measured in hours but in years.
Compared to their previous release ‘Spectrum CCCXC: Transitio’, this album is based on a more analog-organic approach than an analog-digital-synthetic. The four echoing Hymns of Otherness are here to awake the ghosts dwelling within; join the Stagnant Dance and meet the Carcass of Formations – the shrieks are heard from beyond.
This CD version includes a ‘Grave Gravitation: Transitio XCV’ ep which came earlier exclusively as a part of ‘T.o.V. Improvisations XCII-XCIII’ special edition. Two tracks of pure oscillating power – minimalistic, wrathful modular drones, where multitude of hidden harmonics meets a choral of transforming frequencies.
The album is enclosed in a customised and screen printed Sublunar series cardboard covers, including six two-sided insert cards. Limited to 300 copies.
HIEMIS – Thule Limited edition ( 40 copies) Label: Gradual Hate Records / Series: El Lobo y la Espada – L.E. 11 K7 Format: Cassette, Album Country: Spain Released: 25 Apr 2019 Style: Drone, Dark Ambient, Esoteric Ambient
There is evidence that shows the existence in ancient times of an arcane civilization that controlled much of the West and even Greece and Egypt itself. The Atlantis empire was a confederation of different kingdoms located in the ancient Thule, which together formed an empire that ruled for nearly 3000 years the Mediterranean. They were experts in different subjects such as astronomy, navigation or metallurgy, one of their greatest legacies being megalithic monuments. Political and religious interests caused the oblivion of this civilization, in addition to the false legends that pushed the destruction of the myth. Precursor of Greco-Roman mythology, the Atlantean lineage was recovered over time by Julius Caesar himself for his own benefit as propaganda of the Roman Empire, becoming a living god, like the kings of Atlantis.
Many will be the historians, archaeologists and researchers of all time who will try to decipher the mystery of Atlantis. Especially, after Schiemann discovered the city of Troy following the clues found in Homer’s readings. The hypotheses about their possible settlement have been, in most cases, speculative and with little scientific basis. Surely one of those that has gained more strength is that which relates it to Greece (Minoan culture) and Spain (Tartessian… more

Exit In Grey – Истерика Вечного Label: Frozen Light – FZL 044, Zhelezobeton – ZHB-LXIV Format: CD, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Remastered Country: Russia Released: 26 Aug 2016 Style: Drone, Dark Ambient
Radiowaves rustle, layers of ether interference whisper and an electric guitar carefully draws gentle tonal vibrations… The new album by Exit In Grey is indeed largely based on sounds of radio noises, so close to our heart. Although of course this is not a noisy work but rather oneiric, contemplative, shimmering… In two multilayered 20-min long collages we can hear the elements of nature and man-made objects, fragments of random radio interceptions and melancholic guitar parts piercing dark space with its bright emotionality.
The material was recorded by Sergey [S] in March 2011 and mastered by Oleg Hurvatov (Interior Disposition) in 2016. Co-release with Zhelezobeton (St. Petersburg, Russia) – zhb.radionoise.ru.
Visions Of Darkness (In Iranian Contemporary Music)
Label: Cold Spring – CSR242CD Format: 2 × CD, Album, Compilation Country: UK Released: 25 Sep 2017 Style: Dark Ambient, Drone, Experimental, Noise
The simurgh is depicted in Iranian art as a winged creature in the shape of a bird, gigantic enough to carry off an elephant or a whale. It appears as a peacock with the head of a dog and the claws of a lion, sometimes however, also with a human face. Iranian legends consider the bird so old that it had seen the destruction of the world three times over. The simurgh learned so much by living so long that it is thought to possess the knowledge of all the ages. We hope this mythological benevolent creature could be a hope and a a guide in our dark times.

There is a parallel world to which we all live, and it is made up of chance, intuitions, fears, mysteries… Hoffmann explored, in everyday life, that hidden reality that can be guessed in dreams, visions, ghosts, funerary stories, scientific machinations. In short, a world full of strange and mysterious forces, which are able to play with the life and illusions of all of us.
“Nachtstücke” is a look at that universe where disturbing characters live that become oracles, supposedly trivial images that contain a mystery, as well as threatening inventions that never cease to amaze us. Thus, dreams, magnetism, telekinesis, somnambulism, forebodings, premonition and telepathy make up the matter of this disturbing reality
First sound work (“only be published in digital format” ) by Juan Carlos Toledo (Silent Love of Death) dark environments full of nuances and sparkles, subtle orchestration, minimalism sound.

Far reaching pleasures will be at hand – Anemone Tube reveals a series of three CDs entitled “The Three Worlds: Allegory of Vanity / Forget Heaven / Vanity of Allegory”, referencing a cosmological treatise on the universe from the Theravada Buddhism of the 14th century, the subject matter of which is the description of three levels of existence of all beings and mythical creatures.
This extensive retrospective release contains selected tracks from various tapes released between 1997 and 1999 – mostly rare and unavailable today – as well as yet unreleased tracks recorded between 1997 and 2013, a.o. outtakes from the “Death Over China” recordings, handpicked and recontextualized by Anemone Tube, representing the project’s roughest and most atmospheric material up to date, ranging from depressive ritual experimental ambient over dark rhythmic industrial soundscapes to whirlwind noise. Sharply mastered by Hunter Barr for a powerful, contemporary sound, each CD comes in a 6-panel digifile featuring beautiful photography by Dario Lehner.
“The Three Worlds” is a work about transience on many levels, perfectly elucidated in the Buddhist Sutra “Far Reaching Pleasures”, “The three worlds are transient like clouds in autumn / Birth and death of all beings unfold like a dance / Their lives rush away… more credits

Lawrence English + Stephen Vitiello – Acute Inbetweens
Label: Crónica Format: CD, Album Country: Portugal Released: 15 Mar 2011 Style: Abstract, Drone, Experimental, Minimal
Since their initial meeting in Australia during 2006, Stephen Vitiello (USA) and Lawrence English (AU) have enjoyed a long distance collaboration orbiting around the joint passion for field recordings and modular synthesis.
Exploring the points of convergence and divergence between electricity and environment, the duet’s “Acute Inbetweens” is a collection of works derived from hazy environmental memory, imagined landscape and field recorded actualities. It’s a blurring mist of encountered spaces, recreated by means voltage controlled. Like the spatial inspiration that guides the record, “Acute Inbetweens” pace is tempered and during certain pieces borders on a sense of timelessness.
Pieces such as “La Voix est absente” unfold with a pacing of the lauded opening Lotus flowers at Sinobazu-no-ike pond, individual elements revealing themselves in subtle arcs of sound, swelling into a rich harmonic whole. By contrast “Exposure in Relief” is a more robust and pulsing work in which micro melodies spiral into one another. “Acute Inbetweens”, sharp moments diffused in time.
Aun – Fiat Lux Label: Cyclic Law – 76th Cycle, La Esencia – LER013/2015 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Limited Edition, Black with white/blue splatter Country: Canada Released: 2015 Style: Dark Ambient, Drone, Experimental
AUN’s music as always suggested forays into other dimensions, be it to imaginary worlds, industrial wastelands, through space and time, or via mind altered states. From the ominous dystopian artwork, of a city being drained of its energy by some mysterious black hole, to the first notes of the title track “Fiat Lux” we are once again transported on AUN’s otherworldly travelling path. Ever since the space industrial and power electronics of AUN’s previous Cyclic Law cult release “Black Pyramid”, the world has become even more sinister, but in contrast, “Fiat Lux” exudes even more of AUN’s melancholic hopefulness. The disintegrating chords and densely textured waves, anchored by a left field industrial pulse, invoke occult drug enhanced, future psychedelia. Created in part in their Montreal studio, these tracks were extensively performed live, prior to recording, and refined while on tour breaks in Montpellier, Barcelona and Tokyo. The energy of these cities is definitely at work in these recordings, which also features a French connection of experimental heavy hitters: Witxes, Frédéric D. Oberland and Philippe Petit have helped round out Dumais and Leblanc’ arsenal. FIAT LUX: Let there be light, from light will come darkness.
