About 14 years ago Marc P. Schaffer and Orpheo Weidelt-Baur from SOLITUDE FX met at weekends and started jamming around with their beloved synthesizers. On this first of two volumes in the “Synthesizer Session” series they merely used two Korg Poly-61 and a Roland TR-808, played almost everything by hand, drinking lots of beer, thus creating 9 magnificent instrumental neo-romantic synth-wave epics, highly representative of that strange but beautiful turn of the millennium. Included here are two tracks from a 2003 jam session (including the brilliant “Huginn and Muninn” which has been haunting us for more than a decade). File under: dreamy night-driving tunes.
The „schauzeichen ep“ is the most condensed kind of a summary of the sound of [multer] in its whole variety from 1997 to 2003. From abstract soundscapes with added field-recordings to hypnotically looping song-derivates or even shorter running proto-tech. ………and everything fits. The three-piece out of Dortmund, Germany produces timeless music, that may appeal to fans of Labradford, with its swirling, timestretched guitar-chords. But, also connoisseurs of home electronica and avantgarde music may like to give a listen as the group pays tribute to its own roots as ABGS – an industrial field recording ensemble – by adding a tissue of noises and found sounds to their
T.V. Sovietica was an exploratory sound project from Valencia (Spain) developed in 1983 in the postpunk era of the early 80’s which built on the work of “Neonada y Atentados”. From these beginnings evolved a brief, dark and unsettled trajectory based on sound effects inspired by electronic German music with influences from the artistic vanguard analogy (Satie, “Musique Concrete” and minimalism) The darkest, most introspective postpunk, radicalising with its’ experimentation, moving towards “industrial”, “anti-music” styles. The essence of its’ sound combines the use of guitars and electric bass with electronic instruments (Yamaha CS-15, Korg MS-10, Boss DR-55 , etc) , acoustic percussion, mechanical elements and vocals. Confronting frequencies elaborated from improvised riffs with vocal expression. Of the same generation as bands such as Esplendor Geometrico and Aviador Dro. The lost model, now recovered in this work demonstrates the beginnings of Spanish synthpop with “Contacto Telepatico”. The influence of New Wave in “La matanza de los bebes foca”, moving towards the conceptual project “Islandia” to which the majority of the themes belong, “ Oxido en tus ojos” (1984) draws to a close a period of work for the band, probably in its’ most corrosive moment.

One more time Carlos Martin aka Mynationshit has just produced an emotive and gloomy work. This new album which is the fifth is called “Malevolent Charmer” and once again this carries on telling us about the ethical conflict between good and evil, nature and built environments and even admiration and comedown.
Dark and catchy melodies, epic beats and nostalgic atmospheres for the first Waste´s edition where he is a part of this label with his brother Alejandro Martin and Avencio Delgado.
On this occasion ,this work comes out with an outstanding design by Alonso Urbanos who loves like Carlos Martin ,martial arts and Asian culture and obscure folklore.
As well, this album comes out with a professional audio studio work by Elias Saura and Pablo Moreno(Irradian).
