El Aviador Dro y Sus Obreros Especializados, también identificados como Aviador Dro, es un grupo de música electrónica de Madrid (España) fundado en 1979. Formado inicialmente por Servando Carballar (teclados), Arturo Lanz (voz), Gabriel Riaza (bajo) y Juan Carlos Sastre (guitarras) son los pioneros del pop electrónico en España en la estela de bandas norteamericanas como Devo, The Residents o los alemanes Kraftwerk.
Su nombre es un homenaje a la ópera L’aviatore Dro (1915) poema trágico en tres actos del compositor y musicólogo italiano Francesco Balilla Pratella (1880-1955)

This album was conceived as a rite of passage from dusk to the deep night of the Spirit to reach the fullness of the Gnosis.The Crow guides the neophyte through the Four Hymns to achieve transmutation in the Midnight Sun, which is the Morning Star as a symbol of a new Golden Dawn. The edition was inspired by the thelemic works of Frater Perdurabo (the great Aleister Crowley) the medieval mysticism, hermetic symbols and heathen wisdom. The album contains four dark ambient songs representing the rites of Liber Corvus and a video-ritual directed by Diego Arandojo, that emphazises on the main theme of the work

« The ever sounding sea of grief » is a cathartic and spiritually uplifting musical journey. Partly abandonning the lyrical component which was central in previous releases of his musical project «Day Before Us» Philippe Blache introduces here a slight new stylistic turn. This album makes incursions within the world of avant gardism, noise ambient and modern classical minimalism with a subtle cinematic edge. It can be appreciated as a purging ritual mainly built around harrowing reverb piano key, blackened skies of droney textures, then majestic organ patterns within a foreboding sonic spectrum. Those lengthy tracks feature additional arrangements as spoken words.. «The ever sounding sea of grief» is a thrilling and colossal poetical/musical drama of overwhelming expressive intensity.
