We can´t talk about a trend since the producer from Barcelona Victor Safont ,who is the man behind this project ,started producing synthwave music in 2003. Yes siree! Old Coroner is Victor Safont and was born in 2003 after one personal and musical development. This guy from Barcelona was part of a substantial punk rock band and also was as a dj a member of “Calma X”, a Techno,Electro and Drum n Bass colective .Moreover, he was part of the EBM project Awilum and captain in the project The Opposite which was strongly influenced by bands such as Front Line Asembly or Skinny Puppy. If we focus on in his firsts productions, we can see dark and personal hints which are willing to knock down some myths about electronic music. However, it wont be until 2016 when the cocept of this project has developed and felt more comfortable with its unmistakable dark melodies and its affinity for the 80´s synthwave.
