The first ever collaboration between prolific american composer Tomas Phillips and prominent italian newcomer Luigi Turra, “Vignettes Amplifie” presents a sequence of subtle sound constructions characterized by minimalistic and contemplative approach. Quiet field recordings, soft acoustic sounds and organic electronic arrangements builds panoramic view on two levels. The acoustic gestures like bells, manipulated objects and drone fragments are coming from silence and disappearing after some time. On the other hand, there is a kind of reflection of these sonic events in the background, muted and abstracted, hiding from your ears. But these microscopic sounds, short and forgetful, seems to be the main part of the whole thing – when you are trying to trace them down, to catch your attention, and to understand the aesthetical value of this music. Shy and confused, these sounds represents the soul of this music, but in fact they are just grow and fade away like the autumn rain. This album will teach you how to turn your mind into ears, hunting for every little susurration in total silence.

I dream of dead poets and supermodels, fancy software and scenic drives, Paris or Los Angeles on a late night flight, maybe a PowerBook in a Louis Vuitton bag with a picture of you on the seventeen inches wide screen, I dream of glossy drones and dark eyeliners, long legs and bright sounds, fake breasts and uptight asses, I feel like the speed of your heart when you’re so full of grace, I feel like the light in your smile, the slip of the tongue, I float an inch from the sky to the point of you, I’m out of my eyes with a ballad, washing with kindly tears, I cherish the acoustics of your invisible caress, I undress you in poetry, I read your body, soul of doll, I taste your body of sound with the acoustic memory of love, your flesh in stereo, drunken with loud cells on the rocks, resonance of an old soul with metasynth delay, oh you’re so cute when you loop my heart, you are a beautiful loop in my heart, a phantom voice in high heels, you you so you, baby blue eyes drinking champagne underwater, kissing my heart shaped ears, you look beautiful when you dream, you are all the night gave me in return, you whisper in sweetness the distant melody of the stars, suggesting but truth to my divining, I’m just this superficial guy though, plain and superficial, like your skin when you striptease me, when you fuck me like a virgin, I’m a dirty romantic, too sexy for myself, more a loner than a wolf, more a bleeder than a bruiser, night cruiser with a faded touch of love, chasing in dreams the heart of it all, in dreams, in dreams, like when we walk together, hand in hand, like two strangers, and then your pony tail, pink pony, the ten thousand ponies of your pyjama running every night after me, and then the sound, the almighty sound, the greatest sound of all, the sound of you

    PYLAR – La Gran Obra

    PYLAR – La Gran Obra
    Label: Knockturne Records
Format: Cassette, Album Limited to 113 copies
    Country: Spain
    Released: 2016
    Style: Experimental, Avantgarde, Doom Metal

After the successful second album, PYLAR collective returns with a new release: La Gran Obra. This cassette is limited to 113 copies (a number that touches upon the threshold of madness) and is inspired by Alchemy
    .
In the same way as the alchemical process, La Gran Obra is divided into three parts: Nigredo, Albedo and Rubedo. Throughout this piece, the enigmatic heresiarchs manage to manipulate the lost language of colour and the complex esoteric symbolism of ancient science, dropping clues to the follower and allowing them to walk down the path of the ineffable.
The second side, Speculum (ArboNargAl), is a perfect mirror image of the first. In a sense, an infinite loop has been created between the two sides with the purpose of bending time and entering a level of existence where our subconscious memories live.

PYLAR has once more presented us with a veil which we can choose to lift in search of the key to uncover the last of their holy mission.
