RHaD (Research for Historical Audio Documents) is a side project of Raffaele Pezzella (better known as Sonologyst). What Pezzella brings us here is a concrete example of something of what I have always believed – that ALL sound is music, whatever its source (radio transmissions, telephonic conversations, hi-fi test signals, old and forgotten documentaries, unknown field recordists). More than that, there is something else that goes beyond the simple creation of seemingly random sound collages; there is no doubt that here we have the uncovering of secret worlds and other realities, existences parallel to ours and yet separated by vast temporal and spatial distances. Here we have recordings and found sounds that have been manipulated in such a way as to render their contexts irrelevant and meaningless. Subtle concatenations of sound and substance, mood and context, in some instances creating a sense of otherness, that what we’re hearing are broadcasts from dimensions and realities that are not the one we live in. It’s exactly like trying to tune into a specific station on a vintage radio set but you don’t quite know where it is: as you turn the dial this way and that, you catch glimpses of other lives and other existences playing out just like your own. They are of our world and yet not part of it either. These six “metasonic” messages from seemingly emanate from an unknown Otherwhere and that alone will entice us to listen further and more deeply, in the hope of catching something that will peel back the layers and give us what we’ve yearned for. And that, I think, is where the true beauty lies in this album.

The video disc «Vizualizacija» by St. Petersburg-based project Vetrophonia (Alexander Lebedev-Frontov & Nick Soudnick) consists of several parts. First of all, this is the completely new multimedia album created in 2013-2016 with the help of Yuri Kovalskiy (Worms, Monument Straha), entitled «33 1/3». The album is comprised of the carefully crafted half-hour long collage of various industrial and retro-futuristic sketches, analogue video-noises and meticulously constructed soundtrack perfectly matching the visual part. Despite the quite abstract nature of this work, it keeps the viewer in suspense during all its length and dense saturation of images is compensated by the peculiar sense of humour. The disc also contains the digital version of the live material «Turning Virgings Into Doves» originally released in 1996 on VHS, and the recording of a gig in Experimental Sound Gallery (ESG-21), St. Petersburg, played on 11.03.2013 to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of publication of the famous «L’arte dei Rumori» manifesto by Luigi Russolo.

«Legion of Arrutac» closes the trilogy started in 2017 with «Arrutac» and later «Arrutac’s offspring» in 2018. A disturbing work, narrative and visceral, which tells the strange cult of Arrutac, an indescribable entity and his disciples, lost in the night of time.
With «Legión de Arrutac», both Diego Arandojo, in texts and locutions, and Van Delay, in the esoteric musicalization, bring us a story that could be framed within the dark epic genre.
«Arrutac, Arrutac, Arrutac,» cry the women who feed the cult with tears, sweat and blood. A work that will perplex even the most undaunted spirit.

COME, ARRUTAC . COME. WE WAIT FOR YOU. PLUNGED IN THE OVAL SWIMMING POOL. IN THE WATER THAT IS NOT WATER.
What is ARRUTAC ? An angel, a demon, a spirit?
ARRUTAC is and it’s not. A presence. A moment. An excessively deep sensation, which strolls around for the matter and the energy. Nobody can describe it with accuracy. BUT IT WILL COME.
ARRUTAC WILL COME.
This musical work, where the exploration and the mystique melt, is provided with the narration and texts of Diego Arandojo, writer and hermetist, and music by Van Delay. Together they are in charge of invoking ARRUTAC along an intense CD, with reminiscences to old forbidden recordings as found footage.
COME, ARRUTAC . COME.

A new heart-stopping piece of work by Visonia in which sadness, happiness, hopeful and desperation are in a continuous battle. As a result of this distress and ad nauseam the Chilean artist has asked himself about the sense of life and figured out how to look on the bright side.Doubtless,If we talk about “Fake Wings”,we could point out that this one is an epic and thought-provoking album composed of 6 wicked tunes and released on lovely pinkwhite vinyl.

Masterpiece of experimental electronic music commemorating 30 years since its first release in 1987! “She was unique. Had a bad time in her childhood, her later years were never comfortable. But somehow she got an intensity, feeling of direction. Anything she didn’t know, she just learnt it. Awful history in the countryside, then in London, carrying the banner against injustices. I was in the studio many times with her, the single mindedness. Brilliant technician. Long time before sampling took hold, Caroline had 4-track loops, proper innovation. A bit insecure, had to be in a band (natural for the period) to begin, but when she got on her own, I honestly think her material is up with the best classical musicians, with rock’n’roll – just listen.”- by Danny Ayers, Nocturnal Emission, husband of Caroline K. Limited to 300 copies in a 4-panel matte-laminated black & white Digipak.

On his second album, Colossloth continues his esoteric sonic crusade of volatile yet absorbing audio textures. Cold electronica, with swathes of rhythmic power noise and industrial harshness, tempered with penetrating song structures.
Eleven tracks of austere, reflective and exploratory electronics for journeys made into the hidden realms underpinning daily life, spanning the bridge between gnosis and praxis. The dissonance of opposites falling into elemental synthesis with a sound and approach influenced from the past, present and future, letting us remain anachronistic yet temporal voyeurs in the abyss evoked forth.
