    Since its inception in 2009, Grant Richardson’s Gnawed has propelled itself into the top tier of heavy electronics and death industrial with a stream of high quality releases over a variety of formats.

    For his 3rd full length disc, Pestilence Beholden, the template set forth by prior works remains intact, but is dragged down into an even darker space, this time enriched by added layers of foreboding atmospherics and foggy ambience.

    Make no mistake, this is Gnawed through and through, but Pestilence Beholden is even more sculpted and refined than before, finding an intersection between tensile dread and controlled aggression, as ominous synth beds and throbbing drones are augmented with the cataclysmic reverberations, resonating scrapyard acoustics, and mechanized dirge you’ve come to expect.

    Recorded in industrial complexes in and around Minneapolis, the sound here is deep and immense, once again solidifying Gnawed in a category all their own.

    Post Industrial pioneers Sutcliffe Jugend take everything to a new level with the beautifully packaged album “Offal”. With printed lyrics included for the first time, we get to the heart of Sutcliffe Jugend at their euphoric and vilifying best. Words that will make you question what it is to be truly human and not the conformist PC neo-liberal slave so prevalent and encouraged in the modern era. The production on the album sounds massive compared to previous releases, giving the carefully constructed songs an intense, brutal and relentless environment not heard before. Kevin Tomkins’ vocals are pushed to new extremes, doing battle with Paul Taylor’s vicious guitar and synth work. “Offal” features four epic tracks (55 minutes) of naked emotional release that will leave the listener breathless and gasping for more.     Tube Tentacles (aka Daiben or one half of Blind Pornographics) and Guilty C. (not necessary presentation) bind their particular visions of noise in this, inside and outside, exquisite manufactured split. Internally, Tube Tentacles brings 3 songs with cosmic noise strokes and drops of industrialism, showing the range of colors of their particular style. Meanwhile the japanese Guilty C. does the same with two very different tracks, giving especially in the second a good dose of Japanoise high end. Externally, the work is presented in a unique Arigato Pack printed with silver ink and insert design with a collage by Guilty C. for the occasion.
