HIDDEN PLACE is an Italian electro wave band born in 2004 .
The first demo cd-r “Weather Station” is released in 2005.
The full length debut album “Fantasia Meccanica” (Hellektroempire) is released in 2007. Fantasia Meccanica combines a tasteful pinch of vintage 80’s style electro and new wave. The strengths and quirks of these various genres are harnessed delicately and exhibited freely within each track. While the band embraces the past and future of electro music with their thoughtfully constructed darker sounding new wave debut, they retain their signature sound throughout the album that makes for a unique twist. Also, the album contains two The Frozen Autumn remixes.
The song “Picture Hall” (from Fantasia Meccanica) appears on the german compilation “VAWS vol.1+(VAWS) and the song "United” (from Fantasia Meccanica) appears on the english compilation"Electronically Yours Vol.1"(UNDO/EMI records).
The second album “Punto Luce” (Twilight Records) is released in 2009.Punto Luce is included as one of the best 50 albums of 2009 in the Rolling Stone´s Argentina magazine ranking.“Punto Luce” continues on the same platform traced by the precedent album"Fantasia Meccanica".
Sonorities are alternated with moments of emotionalism and refinement, underlined above all by more atmospheric sounds, that constantly influence this album.
Female harmonious voice from the singer Sara Lux opposes with cold tones of vocoder.
The third album “WEATHER STATION early works” (Twilight Records) is released together with the re-release “Fantasia Meccanica”(Twilight Records) in 2010. In “WEATHER STATION early works” there is an atmospheric blend of decadent electronic cold wave and full bodied industrial sounds. The album is purposefully constructed, and far from pristine, electro soundscape is a 10 song collection that takes us on a journey back to the band’s minimalistic beginning. It’s obvious chilly veneer melts away when raw emotional isolation collides with an easily embraceable ambiance evoking a feeling of moving stillness.
In 2011 SaraLux appears on the Patenbrigade:Wolff album “Verbundstoff” on the track “Fragrance” (voices and lyrics).
The year after ,the band writes the album “Novecento”,released by Calembour Records, where are included as special guests the 80’s band Handful of Snowdrops and Froxeanne (The Frozen Autumn).
In “Novecento” there are electronic textures, futuristic lyricism (expressed on the one hand by SaraLux ethereal vocals and by means of assertive vocoder lines on the other), liquid guitar sound. These are the elements consituting this work/tribute to the several 20th century avant-gardes, this sonic pathway expressly celebrating the all-embracing essence of the arts, its explosive, seductive function, its will of dropping every nostalgic, conformist attitude.
In 2013 Hidden Place make a their cover version of The Frozen Autumn song"The Forgotten Frontier".The song appears on The Frozen Autumn tribute album “Riding The Crest of The Frozen Wave”(Calembour Records).
In 2014 ,for the ten years of the band, the english label Peripheral Minimal releases a new CD compilation called “Retrospettiva 2004 -2014”.After the great success of “Retrospettiva 2004 – 2014” the english label Peripheral Minimal releases a 2nd volume called “Retrospettiva vol.2”.
In 2015 the band releases a 7" called “Nei Versi di Prévert”.

Dreamy, atmospheric, expansive and of undoubted Germanic flavour, the album released by Verlag System is composed of eight tracks of synthetic mystical air spiced up with kosmische vapours which remind of the work of Harmonia , Eno , Neu or even Boards of Canada.”
