Composed, recorded and arranged by Philippe Blache (alias « Day Before Us ») in Dole, from early to July 2024.
«Tristitiam et metus tradam portare ventis» (I will give the sadness and fear to the winds) is a straightforward emotional journey based on brooding, lush, meditative and evanescent piano lines then moody-esque and tense cinematic atmospheres for sweeping electronic textures.
Hints of noisy harshness comes out as grey clouds where graceful elegiac tones are trying to escape from. Philippe Blache is a sound artist and a cultural anthropologist found of electro acoustic research with an approach in ethno-musicology, in dark literary romanticism and in mystical spiritualism. He is the founder of the ethereal-neoclassical dark ambient project «Day Before Us», active since 2011. «Tristitiam et metus tradam portare ventis» is his third soloing effort. Recommended for those who enjoy tempestuous, epic and emotional vastness with a gothic-tinged accent and a devotional melodious catharsis.
