    Sky Burial was formed in 2006 as a conduit for the sonic meanderings of Michael Page. Having established himself in the power electronics/noise genre with his project Fire In The Head, Michael felt compelled to move in a direction more akin to music he was passionate about while seeking more freedom of expression and room for experimentation and complexity of composition.

    As a means of giving music an expression unbound to narrowly defined genres, Michael Page created Sky Burial in 2006. Mainly dealing with noisy power electronics with project Fire in the Head, Sky Burial entered the realms of dark ambient and sonic experimentalism. Since it’s start this outfit has released several albums and we’re proud to have the opportunity to release it’s new opus “Corranach”. The three mesmerizing tracks which comprise “Corranach” play a dichotomous dirge both grounded and ethereal. Sky Burial takes us unto a journey through internal structures and outer spaces, immersed in the Kosmische ethos. With “Corranach” Michael presents his most focused and refined work so far with a unique blend of industrial and ambient elements.

    Ionophore is the project of the SF Bay Area/London-based multi-instrumentalists Leila Abdul-Rauf, Jan Hendrich, and Ryan Honaker. The trio weaves dark electronics and neoclassical soundscapes with heavy drones, seamlessly melding the orchestral strings of Honaker, the horns and voice of Abdul-Rauf, and electronic manipulations of Hendrich. Working closely with mastering magician Myles Boisen (known for his work with Angelo Badalamenti, John Zorn, Fred Frith), the result is an entrancing original sound, combining cinematic tones with beat-driven, ethereal ambience. A genre-bending and highly creative album that embodies the more adventurous and forward thinking nature of what Malignant Antibody was designed to release.

    A legendary sound collaboration formed of two lengthy pieces. The first track features Andrew Chalk (Mirror, Ora, Ferial Confine) gently reworking the sound materials of Ralf Wehowsky (P16.D4). A hypnotic, slowly-evolving drone with waves of mysterious sounds, static and glitches. The second piece, on the other hand, finds Ralf Wehowsky composing a frenzied journey into otherworldly realms using sound material from Andrew Chalk and Eric Lanzillotta (Eye Music). These pieces reflect a sound unique from the work of any of the three individual participants, but clearly related. Subtle, but full of detail for the willing listener. Originally issued as limited coloured vinyl only on Lanzillotta’s label Anomalous Records in 1998. Cover painting by Andrew Chalk. Remastered for CD from the original master recordings. Digipak.
