    Now 8 years since the last full length for Cyclic Law, Norway’s SVARTSINN returns with a new opus, reaffirming his place as one of the world’s premiere Dark Ambient acts. For this album Jan Roger Pettersen is accompanied on some tracks by fellow Norwegian Amund Ulvestad on Cello, providing new elements to Svartsinn’s distinct ominous drones. Mørkets Variabler translates to “Variables Of Darkness” and it is a certain combination of such variables that fuels the urges and need to create the atmospheres translating as Svartsinn. Darkness comes in various shapes and forms and through these new pieces we are plunged into this vast and singular subject, left to our senses to explore it’s subtle meanings and impressions left within ourselves. Presented in a unique Limited Edition Hardcover Digibook as well as a Limited Gatefold Double vinyl. The vinyl version includes an exclusive remix of the track “Echoes Of Silent Cries” by Sweden’s KAMMARHEIT. Artwork by Dehn Sora.

The simurgh learned so much by living so long that it is thought to possess the knowledge of all the ages.     Scripta Soli (“The writings of the earth”) is a thematic contemplation triggered by a great Czech artist in the form of a fictive experience during an apocalyptic war catastrophe, perceived by a person imprisoned in the bunker. Epically dramatized, it consists of 12 figurative parts to strip moral vacuum accumulated by memories, fears, visions and expectations of the inevitable, like echoes from the devastated core, sonically interpreted by the ground and aborted on the surface. Vladimir Hirsch offers expressionist sharpness and contrast to gouge out the focal sound from the background cacophonous substance to evoke stark and haunting imagery behind. Proving his expertise and repertoire he renders field recordings, electroacoustic and digital techniques through his typical metamorphic musicalization of primarily non-musical elements realizing the shrill, dynamic realities of the inner conflict: the titular sonic earth eventually turns into a grave.

    TeHÔM brought us a new album with live audio recordings of the performance at the well known and huge Brutal Assault Festival (“Keep Ambient Lodge”) in Czech Republic on 12th August 2016.

    It was recorded through a mixer as well as two microphones to capture the essence of the experimental live sound.
    Vocals and special drone sounds are made with a tube instrument for this occassion and extra sounds are added in the live set.
    Tracks are slower than the original album versions to give them even more sense of dense and organic ritual to the performance.

    TeHÔM’s music recalls visions of ancient cultures, evoked by hypnotic, abstract and organic soundscapes wrapped in ritualistic and esoteric atmospheres. It is almost orchestral electronic music filled with tribal sounds, also serving as an example for almost every kind of ritual.

    The primordial flood of Chaos awaits to penetrate the innermost parts of your soul.

    This edition comes presented in a 12" Picture LP with the bonus CD “Extra Assault” that contains extra and unreleased material only available on this set, a A4 printed sheet and a set of 3 postcards.

    Back at that time [S] employed worn and minimal gear, using primitive recording technics (hand-manipulation, mostly) in order to create “old school” and minimalistic industrial, black / dark ambient and noise but including many elements that can be recognized on Kazeria´s later works.
