Anitya is that which has no existence in the beginning and no existence in the end. Its nature is impermanence. The record was created in two different and very special periods of time and it musically unites both western and eastern sounds. The tracks contained are the musical expression of different kinds of dreams. It consists of folk, experimental, psychedelic and industrial elements, and even classical music but sounding, at various places, like ritual music. The structures of the tracks owe as much to classical as to psychedelic music.

A Wolf’s head shape is tearing apart the mist. Howlings in the distance bring silence to an end, the throbbing of blood now resounding in wardrums.
For well over 10 years, ÀRNICA have been patiently carving their niche in the Neo-Folk scene. The genre’s free form aesthetics have served as a perfect starting ground, yet were quickly subdued by ÀRNICA’s own vision as they delved into Iberian lore and tradition to find both a wealth of musical references and the spiritual elements that would shape them into a unique entity.
Well acquainted with the Post-Industrial school of experimentation and sound manipulation, ÀRNICA were quick to make good use of its tools and techniques. Loops, samples and field-recordings merge seamlessly into traditional acoustic instrumentation, adding fine details and rural textures to their vivid portrayal of a world forgotten. This primal legacy to which ÀRNICA are devoted further manifests through the savage drumming, the warhorns and the battle cries, as sound ultimately transforms into a mesmerizing ritual.
Following numerous live appearances, which have brought ÀRNICA to share the stage with bands like WARDRUNA, DEATH IN JUNE, BLOOD AXIS or TYR, the band now join Equilibrium Music for their third full-lenght album, one which successfully captures the raw archaic energy of their shows into recorded form.
Much like an alchemic transmutation of lead into gold, ÀRNICA’s new offering shapes Ur-Folk into Ritual music, distilled under the scorching sun of Iberia to bring one of the most menacing and intense releases ever related to the genre. The album speaks of an old ruler that inspired his kin to fight back against those who sought to take their ground, back in an age forlorn where man and beast were as one. Now, more than pay mere tribute, ÀRNICA call upon Cabeza de Lobo to lead the Wild Men once again, in a much needed return to wilderness

‘Lecho de Piedra’ (‘Deadbed Stone’) is the new long play by Àrnica. The iberians are back with an Ur-Folk offering full of harsh-folk tunes (‘Valle de Lobos’), nature chants (‘Monte Nublado-Cima’, ‘Trazos de Sangre’) and warrior poetry (‘Monte Nublado-Ladera’, ‘Las Plumas del Cuervo’). Dealing with the concept of die over the stone, in a mountain or within the forest. To die outside among the nature. Guitar, flutes, accordion, mouth harp, a lot of diferents drums, gralla, catalonian bagpipe, stones, bones, antlers, ratchets, cowbells, field recordings and a couple of samplers were used for the creation of this new piece. Created as a spiral block the offering reveals a journey through old values and feelings. A very special collaboration in ‘Una Bestia Astada’ track: Jay Kokopeli (Traum’er Leben) joined us with his wild breath.

After five years, German Darkfolk band Traum’er Leben returns with their impressive new album. Based on Hermann Hesse’s novel “Demian” and the trials and tribulations of that time. Traum’er Leben have grown personally as well as musically, while the music has become more dark and melancholic than before. ‘El Sol I La Neu’ emphasises the long and intense friendship to the Catalan band Arnica while the remaining songs display what Traum’er Leben trademarks have always been: the characteristic duets of female vocalist Bia and her male counterpart Jay, the great melodies and the enduring instrumentations of the perfectly arranged songs. The Wyrm presents on a seven inch vinyl album, a unique and limited edition of only ten numbered copies, where tradition, spirituality and identity come together in a common trunk for the past and present history, with reference to the Visigoth legacy. Raíz Ibérica (Encuentros Contra el Mundo Moderno) es un festival que se desarrolla en plena naturaleza, un evento cultural que pretende fomentar y conservar el folclore de los pueblos que han poblado el solar ibérico y que dejaron su impronta sobre nuestra península. Un folclore muy rico y variado y, sobre todo, muy disperso, además de estar muy amenazado por la presión del mundo moderno.
La Noche de los Candiles es una propuesta original y apasionante. Los vecinos de Almócita (Sierra de La Alpujarra Almeriense), rescatan los viejos candiles para afrontar una noche con la única iluminación del fuego y la luna como testigos. La privación de la iluminación eléctrica, tras el APAGON generalizado, nos transportara durante unas horas a un escenario de otra época….
La puesta en escena de las luces suaves y románticas, que proporcionaran la fuerza y energía del fuego, la música envolvente que se extiendera por las diferentes calles del pueblo con distintas actuaciones: Àrnica + Neønymus + Keltika Hispanna
Àrnica es un proyecto de Ur-Folk de la Península Ibérica. Su música lidia con las ancestrales tradiones celtíberas, raíces, dioses, valores y cantos a los guerreros de la naturaleza.
Neønymus es un singular proyecto musical de Silverio Cavia (Silberius de Ura), donde crea en directo una muy personal mezcla de voces, sonidos e instrumentos, utilizando armonías vocales de música antigua, contemporánea y folk.
Keltika Hispanna propuesta músical, que uniendo aspectos histórico, artísticos y sonoros de nuestro folclore ibérico, intenta recuperar y fomentar la cultura reminiscente de los pueblos Celtas, Iberos y Celtíberos.
Mynationshit Mynationshit surge como proyecto musical en el año 2007. Está formado por un componente que desarrolla sus inquietudes musicales mediante el uso de sintetizadores y cajas de ritmos. Mynationshit elabora un sonido electrónico con el que consigue recrear ambientes oscuros junto a melodías altamente emotivas.

Desde hace ya algunos años, Almócita presenta inquietudes muy marcadas en relación con el Desarrollo Sostenible y la importancia que implica un elevado grado de concienciación que se traduzca en la voluntad de cambio necesaria para lograr una sociedad más respetuosa con el medio ambiente. Esas marcadas connotaciones ecológicas desembocaron en el año 2011 en la génesis de LA NOCHE DE LOS CANDILES. En su evolución como evento sometido a mejora continua, se llegó a la conclusión de que no bastaba con efectuar un apagón en la red de iluminación eléctrica y encender los candiles para lograr un alto nivel de concienciación – participación, había que ahondar un poco más y debía hacerse desde la perspectiva de recuperar aquella parte de espiritualidad e identificación con la naturaleza arrebatada a los seres humanos bajo el amparo del vertiginoso ritmo de cambio presente en las sociedades post industriales.
Dicho con otras palabras, tenemos la firme creencia que de poco o nada vale decir que se quiere ser responsable con el medio que nos rodea sin sentirlo realmente. La música amplifica las emociones y es por medio de la música – ligada a una puesta en escena que se envuelve en un halo de magia y misterio- como pretendemos, en la medida de lo posible, rememorar nuestra verdadera idiosincrasia natural y espiritual. Confeccionar un genuino antídoto que recupere nuestra emotividad despertando el lado más humano, parte menoscabada del propio ser consecuencia inevitable del turbulento y alienado tiempo que nos ha tocado vivir. De ahí la importancia otorgada en el evento a temas de expresión artística como son el encuentro de fotografía, las representaciones con fuego, la interpretación o la música antigua y tradicional. Todo lo que acontezca durante esa noche debe establecer un paralelismo profundo con quiénes somos de verdad y por qué estamos aquí. Recuperar aunque sólo sea por unas horas, un sentido romántico y un recuerdo de que lejos de ser la máxima expresión de la naturaleza, seguimos siendo una parte intrínseca de ella misma.

The artist’s interests are deep rooted in the ancient Iberian culture and traditions. Their music is a mix of traditional Pyrenne Folk and heathen Battle and Hunting-songs. Their first fullength-album „Viejo Mundo“ is a tale narrated by an old man as his last legacy to a casual traveler. In a hut and near by fire the traveler will be the depositor of ancient knowledge about forgotten gods, wisdom of life, tradition and statements of war. All lyrics and singing is in spanish or catalan language. A wide range of instruments is used, on top of them accordion, guitars, drums and flutes. ÀRNICA creates wild and rural atmospheres, quite similar to their friends from STURMPERCHT, but just from the opposite part of the holy Alps.
