Dim shores of eternity’ celebrates the return of the project «Day Before Us» in duet after a last album released by GH records for its 10th anniversary (2021). Along the years the project was bringing to the fore metaphysical themes and dark romanticized story tellings translated musically by ominous-rumbling electronic atmospheres, sonic experimentations and lyrical-elegiac ascending phrases. This new album honors those main components but with an enhanced sonorous cinematic dramaturgy for eerily fixed moments and sequences of transcendent beauty. Expressive and virtuosic classically trained singing lines by Mariel de Laforé meet Philippe Blache’s gothic infused electronic incantations. ‘Dim shores of eternity’ is a complex, majestic album with multi layer of depths.

The instrumentals and conceptual background are approached and elaborated by Philippe Blache while the sound lyricist Agne Srebaliute takes over the vocal parts. «As my spirit wanders free » is a meticulously blended release which gives a large space to contemplative tones, to poignant melodic phrases and to a thick cloud of emotional meandering textures.
The message behind the album explores existential themes such as soul stirring fragility, blurred-fractured memories and the mystical nature world. «As my spirit wanders free» is a vast, sensient and windy atmospheric opus that directly takes on the emotions of the listener. This album marks the 10 years anniversary of the project. This special edition is accompanied by the unique photographic work of Natalie Ina that matches the musical signature in terms of sheer emotional intensity and stylistic landmark.
Day Before Us is an emotional, ethereal and dark ambient music project formed in 2011 by the piano trained player and composer Philippe Blache. Full length releases have been published by Rage in Eden, Twilight Records, OPN and GH Records. A palette of immersive electronic textures, slowly moving melancholic piano airs, industrial noises, lyrical themes, neoclassical arrangements and discreet experimentations characterize the compositional process and the stylistic inclination. Creative strength of the project comes from reflections on timelessness, memories of a bygone era, romantic spleen and spiritual narratives. Day Before Us occasionally gives live performances and works in the context of intermedia collaborations.
